In my advocacy and consulting, in my research and public engagement, I’m passionate about understanding where we’ve been and untangling the complexities of the world we live in in order to develop the tools and strategies to create a just and inclusive road forward. My core interests include human rights, democracy, and civil society; LGBTQI+ politics and history; protest movements; war, peace, and conflict resolution; refuge, asylum, and migration; health equity; anti-racism; and combating the anti-gender movements & other forms of authoritarianism.

At the local, national, & global levels, I’ve worked at the intersection of tangible policy & structural change and intangible culture change.
MY RESEARCH & WRITING
I write about a broad range of issues for both general and professional audiences. My first book, Queer and Present Dangers: Sexuality, Masculinity, and the Sixties, will be published by the University of North Carolina Press.

Through my coaching and consulting with Delta Changemakers, I help leaders, teams, and organizations develop strategies, tell stories, build cultures, and access resources to change the world.
